ING Life is the local life insurance operations, and offers a range of ING Life Taiwan offered innovative financial services and is particularly well-known for its dedication to corporate social responsibility (CSR), being the only life insurance company to win the title in 2007 of 'Excellence in CSR' among life insurers. The company has been voted the “Most Admired Company” in the insurance sector for the seventh time in the industry benchmark survey by Common Wealth Magazine. It is also the two-time winner of Life Insurance Company of the year award in the pan-regional Asia Insurance Review industry contest. In 2006 and 2007, ING Life Taiwan received the highest rating of twAAA for its sound credit and financial performance. It's also seen as one of the best places to work given
that for the past eight years it has been voted by insurance graduates as the most desired company for which to work. The business is currently celebrating its 20th anniversary of operations in the market.
ING Funds is the largest fund manager in the market following its
acquisition in 2006 of the Taiwanese domestic asset management business, ABN
AMRO Asset Management (Taiwan) Ltd, a registered Securities Investment Trust
Enterprise. The onshore activities include a strong product portfolio of
overseas investing equity funds as well as Funds-of-Funds, and a convincing
track record in the Taiwan equities segment. ING's asset management activities
in Taiwan include ING Fund Services, a securities investment consulting
enterprise and market-leading offshore fund distribution platform.
ING Real Estate Investment Management in Taiwan is one of eight locations in
which ING offers tailored property investment solutions to corporate and
institutional clients. In addition, the business supports the real estate
investments in the market on behalf of ING's sister companies, including the Min
Sheng Healthcare Network transaction for ING Life in April 2007.
In Taiwan, the investment and commercial banking division of ING Group's
products and services include structured finance, debt capital markets,
corporate finance advisory, securitization and syndicated loans. These are
supported by the core products in general lending, cash management and treasury
services.
